Speed UTV Plug-and-Play Trickle Charger

The Speed UTV Trickle Charger is designed specifically for the electrical connection and polarity configurationused on Speed UTV vehicles. It provides a simple plug-and-play way to maintain the battery during storageand extended periods of inactivity.

The exposed metal terminal on the charger connector is the positive (+) terminal. Although this may appearunusual, it is intentional. The matching positive connection installed on the vehicle—located near the right-rear corner—is the protected female side and is wired directly to the battery. This arrangement helps preventthe vehicle’s live positive terminal from contacting the chassis if its protective cover comes loose, whichcould otherwise create a short circuit.

Because the Speed UTV charging connection uses a specific polarity orientation, a conventional tricklecharger must not be connected without first verifying and correcting its connector polarity. On many standardchargers, the connector must be rotated or rewired 180 degrees to match the Speed UTV connection.Connecting a charger with reversed polarity may trip the protection circuit and could damage the charger orthe vehicle’s electrical system.

Important: The exposed terminal shown is positive. Keep it from contacting the chassis, tools, or any othergrounded metal surface. Connect the charger to the vehicle before plugging it into the wall outlet. Whendisconnecting, unplug it from the wall first.

For correct fitment, proper polarity and straightforward operation, this is the recommended trickle chargerfor every Speed UTV.
